RESTORATION
|
FULL RESTORATIONSBy far one of the most ambitious organ building projects in the UK has been the restoration of the Oktoberfest Organ, done by David at his workshops in Canterbury.
|
SERVICING AND CLEANINGDavid promises to do only what is necessary.
He believes in conservation of the instrument. This Gavioli was releathered and cleaned meaning it can continue to play many hours a day in Joby Carters Gallopers. |
Facilities
David has the workshop space to take on big projects. The Oktoberfest Organ was lifted up to the 1st floor of his workshop, giving him the space to thoroughly dismantle and restore.
|
Experience
After working full time in Organ Building for the last 25 years and serving an apprenticeship with
J Verbeeck of Belgium, David has the knowledge, experience and initiative. |
The Future
David has quickly established a name for himself, being the youngest full time builder in the UK and has a number of important and interesting projects lined up, both now and in the future.

just in the workshop...This delightful 48 Key Marenghi had been suffering severe woodworm. David visited and performed a simple on site restoration. The Organ has been fully treated with all woodworm killed. It was then repaired and releathered, tuned and adjusted, all ready to go on entertaining people for another hundred years!
